Motion Offense (Down Screen Shooting)

Two lines with both perimeter and post players in each line. Coach or manager on top ready to receive the pass with another coach or manager with a basketball ready to make a pass.

Drill starts with #1 passing to the coach or manager on top. #1 sets a down screen for #4 who comes out for the jump shot. #4 receives the pass from the coach or manager on top. As soon as #1 down screens he shapes up and pops to the basketball in the lane or may flash to the high post to receive the next pass from the other coach or manager for the shot. #1 and #4 would then exchange lines and the drill continues with the next two players in line.

You may add your own options as to how #4 uses the screen. He may curl over the top of the screen, fade to the corner or turn around and rescreen for #1. In any event, the screener (#1) should read the screenee (#4) and make the appropriate flash to the basketball after screening.

As with all of these drills, after several repetitions, move to the other side of the floor.
