Peer Pressure (4) The Three Man Weave

This pattern is repeated until the end of the court is reached and a lay-up or shot is scored.

You can chose between let the same group come back before a second group starts or you can let the second group start after the middle line is passed.

Remember to keep your conditions the same throughout. No dribbles, the ball does not touch the floor. Your kids should run hard, have their hands up ready to receive the pass and finish the layup with a make. Set a goal of made baskets in a row before concluding.

Make sure the passes are crisp and accurate.

Be very alert on traveling violations. This drill is not an excuse to run with the ball....ever! Never, ever teach a violation. (simple to say, but you would be suprised how many times I have watched coaches run a drill where a kid is taught to violate the rules, i.e. dribble, jumpstop, dribble again, etc. Why would you teach them to double dribble. Make it a point to watch your drills to make sure they are stressing legal moves on the floor and that your players know the difference between them.
