Drills
Playname : Peer pressure (5)

Peer Pressure (5) 3 on 2; 2 on 1

This is another familar drill that should not be that difficult to explain.

Three lines on offense on one end of the floor while two defenders wait for them on the other end.

#1 attacks down the middle. He should attack the basket until a defender (X) stops him. He then should either shoot or make a pass to #3 or #2. The man who shoots the ball is always back on defense. If there is no shot, the man responsible for the turnover is back on defense.

Here we see #2 taking the shot so he immediately runs back on defense. The two defenders (X's) now take the ball and go 2 on 1 against #2. As they score or shoot on the other end, the next three offensive players are bringing the ball down against the two new defenders that were left behind (#1 and #3 in this case).

The series continues for a set amount of time or a set amount of made baskets or you could even have a set amount of stops in a row if you wanted to stress defense.
