Syracuse Zone Offense

Syracuse will use a 1 - 3 - 1 zone offense vs. a two guard front and 2 - 1 - 2 zone offense vs. a one guard front.

(#5) can work the high and low post areas while (#4) runs the baseline looking to step in behind the zone for a scoring opportunity.

Syracuse Zone Offense

(#4) and (#5) may also "X" in the post as the ball is reversed with (#5) stepping to the corner or "short corner" area while (#4) works in the high post. The perimeter players will usually not cut through, but will look to drive the gaps while the other perimeter players are spotting up for shots.
