1 Al Rayyan Zone Offense Set Play (any number) Here in our any number set play we again like to attack the side away from where we will be looking to set up the play. Here we reverse the ball to #4 on top right out of transition looking to pass to #3 on the left wing. #5 comes across the lane as always coming to the ball side low block and then stepping out to the short corner. After passing to #3, #4 steps into the space created by #5 stepping to the short corner.

2 Al Rayyan Zone Offense Set Play (any number) #1 and #2 execute their exchange as always in our zone offense.

3 Al Rayyan Zone Offense Set Play (any number) #3 then looks to reverse the ball on top to #2. #4 and #5 repeat their usual post action while the ball is reversed around the top to #1 on the right wing.

4 Al Rayyan Zone Offense Set Play (any number) This time, #2 and #3 will not do their usual exchange. Instead, #3 will cut down under the basket area waiting for #1 to reverse the ball.

5 Al Rayyan Zone Offense Set Play (any number) As #1 reverses the ball on top, #5 steps into the middle of the lane out in front of the basket occupying the middle defender while #3 back screens the low wing defender. #4 then will look to break to the basket either for the direct pass or lob pass from #2. #2 must read the defense to see what "decisions" the defenders will make on how to cover this action. Believe me, #5, #4 or #3 stepping out for mid-range or three point shot will be open.
