Devin,

Thanks for your question. I've been through a handful of interviews in my career (a few high school jobs) so I will give you what I know from my experience.

First, it is probably a good idea to find out who will be included in the interview. That will give you some idea of the line of questioning to come.

If you have academic and administrative people, they may not have many questions about or place much value on your "basketball knowledge", and focus most of their time on your abilities as a "teacher", "disciplinarian" and "leader".

Here are some areas I would be ready for:

Your leadership style and philosophy...describe.
Your coaching style and philosophy...describe.
How you will discipline your players / team.
Rules and regulations you will set with your team.
How will you include / communicate with parents.
How you would deal with an angy parent (over playing time for their child or disciplinary action you took against their child).
Outline your entire program for development (in-season, off-season, summer program, etc.)

Hope that helps. Look and act prepared. I always came with supplemental materials to give to each person interviewing me...(written philosophy, articles I have written, plan for success, program outline, player development, rules and regulations, etc...whatever you can think to include in a neat and organized booklet)

Good luck!

Jamie Angeli
