Assortment of plays, drills and ideas to help your program improve.

I'd like to offer you a free "sample" of my latest book to hit the coaching market, "The Fusion Offense". I get nearly a 1,000 visitors to my website each day and none will have an opportunity to view this free sample. It is just a small way of saying thank you for taking the time to sign up for our newsletter.

But first, let me set this up a bit.

About a month ago in Doha, Qatar we had the Asian Cup Championship tournament. The Qatar National Team finished third and qualified for the World Championships in Japan in 2006. Lebanon was second while Yao Ming and China won the championship.

Our Qatar National Team is coached by Joey Stiebing. Joey is an American coach who worked under Tim Floyd at the University of New Orleans several years ago. Joey has put in the Triangle Offense this year and I have really liked some of the scoring opportunities they are getting from it. I began to think...

...I love the 1 - 4 High Offense and used it religiously last season with my Pass Option Transition System, so I did not want to scrap it entirely. I have always incorporated some Princeton System stuff in some of my set plays so that had to be included at some point. I have always been intrigued by the Triangle Offense, and after watching it for the past two weeks with our Qatar National Team, I'm even more intrigued.

So, to make a long story short, I spent the entire month of September working on an offense that would include the best scoring options from the 1 - 4 High, The Triangle Offense and The Princeton System. (Editor's note: I work two hours a day coaching my professional club team in Doha, Qatar and that doesn't start until January! I have plenty of time on my hands!)

My goals in creating this offense:

1) Simplify the basic teachings of the 1 - 4 High, Triangle & Princeton Offenses.

2) Include only the most effective scoring options from each offense.

3) Make an offense that was tough to defend and difficult to scout.

4) Create an offense that was excellent against pressure defenses.

5) Include easy reads for players to pick up on in this offense.

6) Provide great scoring balance for each position on the floor.

7) Develop a system that was easy to follow, understand and teach.

8) Include breakdown drills that taught the offense daily.

I'm finished and I absolutely love it! I believe I met each of my goals and even went beyond in some areas. I can't wait to implement it this season.

I'm calling it "The Fusion Offense". The entire book is available in our coaches store for $23.95 or $13.95 as an e-book download. You can also get this entire e-book in the E-book Package sale (6 e-books for $29.95) as part of our Chicken Soop Anniversary Sale on the home page.

I firmly believe the way this system is laid out that it will be MUCH EASIER to teach than the any of the three systems by themselves. If you don't use the entire offense, I assure you that there will be pieces that you will really like.

I have included a "sample" below (20 of the 55+ pages in the book). Included are one of the two post entry options available. There is one more entry (a wing entry) that I did not include. I did include the "pressure release" counter options when teams institute an aggressive and overplaying defense vs. this offense. There is so much more in this book. I hope to have peaked your curiosity with this new system and the manner in which the information is delivered. It is my hope you decide to purchase your very own copy today. This will be an excellent resource for your offensive library.

Double-click the book below and wait up to a minute for the pdf file to open. Enjoy your sneak peek!
